Leon Draisaitl's insane salary demands have been revealed

Leon Draisaitl has been trying to get a deal done with the Edmonton Oilers and as you can imagine, he wants one of the largest contracts in NHL history.
According to the 2 Mutts Hockey Podcast, Draisaitl is asking for a lot of money, but there is one caveat here that Oilers fans will appreciate. The podcast seems to have some inside sources, and they have broken major stories in the past. So it is important to realize this isn't just some Joe Blow on Twitter saying this, even if it may seem that way.
As they reveal, the initial fear was that Draisaitl would ask for $14.5 million per year. However, he is settling for $13.5 million as he wants to stay in Edmonton long-term.
When it comes to the length of his contract, it was noted that Draisaitl would love an eight-year deal. By all accounts, both sides are happy with how negotiations are going, and they should be getting something finalized in the near future. This report comes amid comments from Stan Bowman who had almost nothing to say about Draisaitl's impending deal.
