Bryan Rust admits he is out of answers after Penguins' 8th straight loss
Veteran Pittsburgh Penguins forward Bryan Rust admitted that he doesn't have any answers behind the team's latest slide, amidst their eight-game losing streak.
There is nothing going right for the Pittsburgh Penguins right now, who got off to a much better start than almost anyone would have expected of them, but who have since then cooled off considerably.
The Penguins have now lost eight games in a row after Saturday's 4-0 loss against the Montreal Canadiens.
After their most recent loss, veteran Bryan Rust, who has been the subject of trade rumours, admitted that he's out of answers.
I don't have any explanation. As far as tonight goes, obviously we'd like our special teams to be better. We had a lot of chances five on five that we didn't score on.

Because of their losing streak, the Penguins have fallen all the way back to the second from last place in the Metropolitan Division standings.
Bryan Rust's Name Could Once Again Intensify In Trade Rumours
Rust was heavily discussed in trade rumours over the summer, as the Penguins were reportedly trying to trade both him and fellow forward Rickard Rakell.
But GM Kyle Dubas was unable to find any trading partners for either player, and they remained with the team to start the 2025-26 season.
If things continue to fall off the rails for the Penguins, Rust could very well see his name once again start popping up in trade rumours.
So far this year, Rust has 28 points (12G, 16A).
