Dan Muse Opens Up on Season Opener Against the Rangers and Former Coach Mike Sullivan

Dan Muse and the Penguins will open up the season as a part of a triple header, and the new coach has now opened up on a matchup with the Rangers.
The Pittsburgh Penguins have missed the Stanley Cup Playoffs for three straight seasons, and without much incoming talent ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, most expect them to struggle this upcoming season as well.
Despite that, the NHL have announced that they'll be a part of the opening night triple-header, taking on their division rival New York Rangers in what should be a fun matchup with plenty of storylines involved.
The biggest of all will be the battle against former Head Coach Mike Sullivan, and on Tuesday, new Penguins Head Coach Dan Muse has opened up on that very intriguing matchup.
Yeah It's a bit ironic, but once you get to that first game everyone's excited for it, just the work that goes into training camp and getting ready for the season.

While there will be plenty of talk from outside the organization in the media about all of the storylines going into it, with Muse battling the team he was an assistant on and the Penguins doing battle with Sullivan, but for the Penguins, it appears as though there won't be much focus on all of that outside noise.
Ultimately, even with these teams coming into the seasons with drastically different expectations, this should still be a fun Metropolitan Division showdown, and with big names like Sidney Crosby and Artemi Panarin highlighting the matchup full of storylines, it should be an intriguing battle.
