Dan Muse shares the message he delivered to his players after disappointing loss to the Senators

This evening, Pittsburgh Penguins head coach Dan Muse spoke to the media and revealed the message he gave to his players after their disappointing loss to the Senators.
The Pittsburgh Penguins went into last night’s contest against the Senators needing a big win to keep pace in the Eastern Conference playoff race.
Unfortunately, Muse’s team came out flat and lost to the Sens 3-2 despite the close score the Penguins were thoroughly dominated and outshot.
This afternoon, Muse spoke about having to bounce back quickly as the Penguins play once again tonight.

During a pre-game interview, Muse was asked about the team’s mindset heading into tonight’s game against the Islanders.
Muse says he just reminded his players of what they can accomplish when they stick to their game and pushed them to get back to playing their style instead of letting the other team dictate the game.
I’m glad we’re not waiting. We get a chance to jump right back in there. I think based on overall play over the last month there’s been a lot to like. I think we’ve shown what we are capable of. We’re playing the brand of hockey that we are striving to. And so it’s just getting back to that now.
So far, that message from Muse seems to have been received with mixed reactions as the Penguins trail 2-1 to the Islanders in an incredibly important game.
After the game, it will be interesting to hear Muse’s comments on his team’s response to the loss to the Senators.
