First Overall Pick Calls for Trade From Buffalo: Kyle Dubas Has the Opportunity to Make a Home Run

Pittsburgh Penguins general manager Kyle Dubas has the chance to hit a home run this summer by acquiring a former 1st overall draft pick of the Buffalo Sabres, Owen Power.
The Buffalo Sabres seem to be spent in perpetual rebuilding mode, having missed the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the last 14 years running, the longest streak of any team in the NHL.
Amidst reports that there are multiple Sabres players on the roster that are understandably unhappy with the team's direction, one of them is allegedly Owen Power, the 1st overall pick from the 2023 NHL Draft out of the University of Michigan.
Additional information comes from David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, who said that the Sabres reportedly included Power in trade discussions at the March Trade Deadline.

Pittsburgh Penguins general manager could potentially have the chance to land a major building block on the blue line that would help provide long-term stability, as he's under contract for the next several years. He could also take advantage of what is a truly rotten situation in Buffalo with unhappy players looking to jump ship to better opportunities.
There are literally a pair of teams in the Vegas Golden Knights and the Seattle Kraken who didn't exist in 2011 when the Sabres last played in the playoffs who have gone on to win postseason series, including a Stanley Cup in 2023.
While the cost to acquire Power from the Sabres wouldn't be inexpensive, it's worth considering on Dubas' part.
