Former Penguin and Two-Time Stanley Cup Champion Traded by Ducks to Metropolitan Division Rival

The Anaheim Ducks have traded former Penguin and two-time Stanley Cup Champion, Brian Dumoulin to the New Jersey Devils earlier today.
Dumoulin, 33, has appeared in 61 games with Anaheim this season, recording two goals and 14 assists for 16 points, along with 10 penalty minutes and a plus-two rating. He ranks fourth among Ducks defensemen in average ice time at 19:48 per game.
A second-round selection (51st overall) of Carolina in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, Dumoulin appeared in 687 NHL games with Pittsburgh, Seattle, and Anaheim, registering 27 goals and 144 assists for 171 points.
Dumoulin won back-to-back Stanley Cup with the Pittsburgh Penguins
He also has 25 points in 81 playoff games and the pinnacle of his career is the back-to-back Stanley Cup titles in 2017 and 2016 with the Penguins.
Traff, 19, was selected by New Jersey in the third round in 2024. The Swedish winger has seven points in 25 games with Sweden's premier HV71 Jonkoping and four points in two games in the junior league.
Hughes should be back in time for training camp before the 2025-26 season.
