Further Updates On Penguins Key Injuries Revealed Ahead of Clash with Blue Jackets

The Pittsburgh Penguins are dealing with three key injuries, but as of this moment, it doesn't appear that any are taking significant steps towards a return.
One thing potentially holding them back is injuries to three key players, with
Pierre-Olivier Joseph, Tommy Novak and
Ryan Shea all still sidelined due to injuries, as they have been for weeks now.
While some updates have seemed positive and signalled that a return could be on the way soon, the latest update doesn't quite suggest that, as Head Coach Mike Sullivan revealed that Joseph and Shea skated before practice while Novak didn't, but also noted that the latter was a planned move in his recovery.
For the past week now, all three have skated before practice but have made little progress beyond that, and with less than a month remaining in the regular season, at this point, a potential return is up in the air.
While the Penguins stars are all rolling, the depth around them has some major question marks, and if they are to make a run at the Stanley Cup Playoffs down the stretch, they'll need the experience and the talent that all three of these players would bring.
Ultimately though, things don't look too great for any of them at the moment, although they're seemingly working hard to get back on the ice to help their team down the stretch, but for now, this latest update doesn't provide much optimism for that to happen anytime soon.
