The Pittsburgh Penguins are headed for some major change this off-season, and now Insider Taylor Haase reveals which of their three big names are likeliest to move between Rickard Rakell, Bryan Rust and Erik Karlsson.

After such a successful stretch in franchise history, the Pittsburgh Penguins have been on the down swing in recent years, and now with their core getting nearer to retirement, it's clear that they need to pursue a rebuild.
While it's unlikely that they trade Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin or Kris Letang, there are some veterans on this team that have value, with many pointing to the trio of Rickard Rakell, Bryan Rust and Erik Karlsson as three names that could be moved in the off-season.
That was a topic on the latest episode of The Jason Gregor Show, with renowned Penguins Insider Taylor Haase of DK Pittsburgh Sports appearing, with Gregor quickly getting to the point, asking which of the three is most likely to be dealt.
Haase kept her answer simple, noting that Rakell not only has the most interest, but the most value as well, and for GM Kyle Dubas, that makes the most sense as a trade candidate.
I would say Rakell, just cause of the three he seems to have the most value and interest too.
However, she also reported that Karlsson is likely the player that Dubas would most like to move, but with such a big contract and a lower level of interest around the league, it's going to be harder.
Like Karlsson, Dubas I think would like to move him if the opportunity presented itself, but with that contract, even if they were to retain that would be very hard to do.

As for Rust, Haase doesn't believe the team are willing to move him right now, and given all he's given to the organization over the years, no one could blame either party if they didn't want to move on.
Ultimately, at least one of these three are moving, and right now all signs are pointing to Rakell, but with teams having so much cap space around the league, don't be shocked if interest picks up and they deal more than one of them before training camp.
