Insider: Sidney Crosby Has Short List of Teams He'd Reportedly Accept a Trade To

There is no question that Sidney Crosby will be a first-ballot Hall-of-Famer and will have his legendary number 87 raised into the rafters in Pittsburgh. Crosby has been the face of the NHL for a large part of his career, and with new talents emerging left and right, Crosby still has found a way to be elite even at 37 years old.

While there is no indication that Sidney Crosby will be traded, insider Renaud Lavoie has revealed that if he does get traded, Crosby would have a short list of three teams that he would be willing to go to.

Montreal, being a potential destination, is no surprise. Crosby grew up in Nova Scotia and as a Canadiens fan. Here is a photo of a young Crosby sporting the famous red, blue, and white jersey.

Crosby would also likely have the Colorado Avalanche on his list of teams, as he has a friendship with Nathan MacKinnon and could chase another Stanley Cup with the Avs.

While it seems unlikely that we will see a Crosby trade soon, you can never say never. Thankfully for Penguins fans, it looks like they will at least have another year with Crosby and hopefully keep him till he retires.
