Kyle Dubas Announces the Penguins Have Made a Roster Move

Kyle Dubas has made the decision to send Sebastian Aho back down to the AHL's WIlkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, cutting his time short with the big club.
Sebastian Aho's time with the Pittsburgh Penguins was brief, and as of now, he has officially been returned to the AHL.
Aho has not played a single game in the NHL yet this season
The 29-year-old defenseman, who re-signed with the team last July, was recalled last week on an emergency loan basis but did not receive game time before being sent back. Aho's chance in the NHL has been limited this season.
With his attempt at making the roster came up short in training camp, he played the entire year with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, where multiple injuries kept him out for a significant amount of time.
Aho was only able to play in 17 AHL games, which no doubt contributed to him being overlooked for the recall thus far.
Even though his recent stay in Pittsburgh was short, Aho tried his best to maximize his ice time on practice, trying to catch the attention of head coach Mike Sullivan and the coaching staff.
"I'm trying to bring my best every day in practice to show them that this is where I want to be, this is where I want to play," Aho said. "So I see it as a good opportunity to come up and show them what I can do and hopefully try to change their mind."
While he didn't play in a game, he was greeted by his peers who embraced him as one of their own.
Now that he has officially been returned to the AHL, Aho will return to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, hopefully staying healthy and preparing himself for another NHL recall in the not-too-distant future.
