Penguins GM Kyle Dubas revealed that Sergei Murashov will finally make his debut today for the Penguins, and he also provided a Joel Blomqvist injury update.

Recently, Penguins GM Kyle Dubas said that Sergei Murashov would start one of the games this weekend, and since Arturs Silovs started Saturday, by process of elimination, that leaves today, when the Penguins host the LA Kings at 2 p.m.
The Penguins are full of injuries and are dealing with Tristan Jarry's lower-body ailment. Jarry is out for roughly three weeks, and the team recalled Murashov on Tuesday evening, the same day that he was named AHL goalie of the month.
Penguins goalie Joel Blomqvist played 15 NHL games last season. The first half went well, but the second half, later in the season, dropped his numbers and earned him a demotion back to the AHL.

Joel Blomqvist appears to be progressing well, and his timeline is now a couple of weeks

Overall, he posted a .885 save percentage in his NHL career so far. This season, Blomqvist was injured early in training camp and has not played since. Dubas also provided an injury update on him.
"He should be starting to work his way back. The projected return is next weekend, which will come in Wilkes," said Dubas. "We'll get fortunate there, because we have to bring a third goalie to Sweden, and that will likely fall to Filip Larsson.

"(Blomqvist) is trending in the right direction. He should return to game action in the next couple of weeks."

Fans have been waiting for this day for quite some time, where they would get to see Murashov in the crease, and now that it's here, we can only hope for a fantastic performance.
