Kyle Dubas Spotted at Big Hockey Game, Penguins Roster Move Incoming?

The Pittsburgh Penguins have long been eliminated from the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and as a result, they've turned to plenty of youth in their lineup in recent times, with the notable additions being Rutger McGroarty and Ville Koivunen.

Now, with just two games left in their season, speculation has begun that another move could be on the way, as General Manager Kyle Dubas was spotted at the latest Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins game, a 4-1 win over the Springfield Thunderbirds.

Given the amount of young players in WBS, there's always a chance that he was simply looking towards the future and getting a glimpse of some prospects, but with two games left, fans have begun theorizing that another young player or two could be brought up for the stretch run.

In 2024/25, Pittsburgh have just two games remaining on their schedule while Wilkes-Barre/Scranton are looking to chase the Calder Cup, so while they'll be at full strength when the NHL season is over, those final two games could be important for the future in Pittsburgh.

With both Joel Blomqvist and Sergei Murashov expected to make a push for the NHL next season, it's entirely possible that Dubas is simply getting a look at his young names, but given how good NHL experience would be for some young prospects, don't be shocked if Dubas uses this time to bring in a young player or two for the final few games of the year.
