Major Pittsburgh Penguins Injury Update: Timelines Revealed for Three Key Players

After a series of roster moves on Tuesday, the Pittsburgh Penguins updated some timelines on Wednesday for three players who recently went on IR.

That includes goaltender Tristan Jarry, who is expected to miss at least three weeks because of a lower-body injury. Jarry played the full game on Monday in a loss at Toronto vs. the Maple Leafs.

In addition, red-hot forward Justin Brazeau will be out at least four weeks because of an upper-body injury. Brazeau has missed the past two games.

He is not the only forward who will be out, as Noel Acciari will miss a minimum of three weeks because of an upper-body injury as well. Acciari left Monday's game in Toronto.

All three players were placed on injured reserve on Tuesday, and the team recalled forward Danton Heinen, defenceman Ryan Graves, and standout goaltender Sergei Murashov from the AHL's Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.

Pittsburgh is tied for first in the Metropolitan Division with an 8-4-2 record and takes on the Washington Capitals and Alexander Ovechkin on Thursday night. This is their projected lineup below when taking into account all of their absences.

The Penguins will likely continue to release more information as the days go by, and fans will be eagerly awaiting all of their returns.
