The Penguins took Murashov with the 118th overall pick in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft, and he's played his entire career up until last year in his native Russia.
He split time between Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL.
So far this year, Murashov is 5-2-0 with a .931 SV%. He's considered the potential starter of the future for the Penguins, who have struggled to get consistent goaltending for the last handful of seasons.
