Montreal Canadiens Nearly Traded for Specific 5'11 Forward: Analysts Believe it May Have Been a Young Penguin
The Montreal Canadiens are rumored to have nearly traded for a new player, very possibly Philipp Tomasino of the Pittsburgh Penguins.
In a new episode of season 2 of the series about the rebuilding of the Montreal Canadiens, a trade is discussed between GM's Kent Hughes and Barry Trotz, while it's never fully concluded which player was discussed.
It has been speculated that the player in question could be Philipp Tomasino.

Guhle recently complimented Tomasinso's two-way game in a meeting with Hughes to get more information.
"Guhle mentions that he's a very good player who's excellent at both ends of the ice.
He even calls him a tireless monster.
Strong as a horse, good offensively, intelligent, and capable of making good plays, he was producing at a rate of nearly a point per game at the time of the conversation in question.

From Strength to Smarts: Breaking Down Tomasino's Impact
Taken 24th overall in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft by the Predators, Tomasino was later traded to the Penguins last year for a 4th round pick.
He had 23 points (11G, 12A) in 50 games with the Penguins following the trade, and has played in 209 career NHL games between both teams.
He plays with a physical edge to his game despite not being the biggest player, and his hockey IQ has been praised, notably by Kaiden Guhle.
