Bryan Rust has had a fantastic career in Pittsburgh, but with his no-trade clause nearing its end date, he's drawing interest on the trade market.

The Pittsburgh Penguins have a key off-season ahead of them, and with Kyle Dubas looking to mold this team the way he likes to lead them into the future, they've got plenty of big time decisions to make.
While everyone will be looking at the likes of Erik Karlsson and Rickard Rakell as potential trade candidates, it appears as though another name is emerging, as Josh Yohe has revealed that Bryan Rust is drawing interest from several teams as a potential veteran pickup.
This is a result of Rust's no-trade clause expiring on July 1st this year, and as a result, teams see him as a valuable top-six winger that they could add to their lineup to go out and contend in the coming years.
However, according to Yohe, the team are unlikely to move Rust, given that he'll likely wear an 'A' for the team again this season, but the interest and the possibility of a trade remain.
Now, I'd be surprised if they do trade him. He should be wearing an «A» on his sweater. He's Crosby's favorite winger and a terrific player on a very good contract. His reputation for being wonderful with young players fits the long-term plan.

In other words, he's the kind of guy you want to keep around. I think the Penguins will do just that - unless, of course, a team makes Dubas an outrageous offer.

My gut says Rust will stay this season, and it wouldn't shock me if he sticks through the final three seasons on his contract. He's beloved in the organization. You have to imagine, though, how tempting it will be to entertain significant offers for him. It will be something interesting to monitor all season.

Rust has been a long-time teammate of Sidney Crosby, and even if the team isn't contending, that's a very good spot to be as an NHLer, so while a deal may not get done, don't be surprised to hear more on this front in the coming weeks.
