The Pittsburgh Penguins released an update on the injuries currently affecting their lineup ahead of their matchup against the New Jersey Devils.

The Penguins will look to win their fourth straight game this afternoon against the New Jersey Devils, after beating the Minnesota Wild, Vegas Golden Knights, and St. Louis Blues. Considering all the players who left the team at the trade deadline and the injuries, it's no small feat.
Mike Sullivan, the Pittsburgh Penguins head coach, held a press conference this morning, hours before their afternoon game against their Metropolitan Division rivals, the New Jersey Devils.
Sullivan provided a status update on Ryan Shea, Pierre-Olivier Joseph, and Tommy Novak, who are all dealing with injuries, and confirmed the starting goalie for the game.

The coach revealed that Tristan Jarry will get his fourth straight start since being called up from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in the AHL.
He also stated that there were no changes in the status of Shea, Joseph, and Novak but did reveal that Shea is the only one of them able to skate as of now:
This game will be crucial for Sidney Crosby and his teammates. With a win, the team would match the New York Islanders in sixth place in their division and remain six points away from a wild-card playoff spot.
With their next two games being against division rivals, the Penguins must keep riding the momentum they have built since the trade deadline if they want to keep their season alive.
The odds aren't on their side, with less than a one percent chance of making it to the playoffs, according to playoffstatus.com.
But with Crosby leading the charge, tallying two points per game in his last three starts, anything is possible for the Penguins.
