Penguins Goalie Prospect Reveals Priceless Advice From Marc-André Fleury

The Pittsburgh Penguins had issues with goaltending during the 2024/25 season, and while they've got two intriguing names coming through the organization, that didn't stop them from adding another in the 2025 NHL Draft.
With the No. 84 overall pick in the third round, the Penguins selected Gabriel D'Aigle out of the QMJHL's Victoriaville Tigers, and it appears as though he already has some connections to Pittsburgh.
That connection comes through Pens icon Marc-Andre Fleury, who D'Aigle opened up on in his latest interview, and while he didn't reveal too much about their relationship, D'Aigle opened up on some key advice given to him by the three-time Stanley Cup winner.
"He gave me a lot of advice. Like, always have fun during the game."
While most goaltenders could open up too much and get too technical with their advice and overload a young netminder, Fleury did the exact opposite, keeping his wisdom very short and simple.
The main piece of advice that D'Aigle remembered from Flower was to always have fun on the ice, and given the pressures involved in being an NHL prospect, that's one thing that so often goes very overlooked.
Only time will tell if he can become a solid NHLer for Pittsburgh, with
Joel Blomqvist and Sergei Murashov still in front of him on the depth chart, but with advice from Fleury and the immense potential he's shown in the QMJHL, there's no reason why he can't be a key piece for the team in the years to come.
