A Pittsburgh Penguins insider revealed Sidney Crosby's true intentions about his future with the team.

Massive changes will keep striking the Pittsburgh Penguins organization. After parting ways with many players and head coach Mike Sullivan, Kyle Dubas is likely to make many more moves in the offseason.
There are a lot of rumors going around out there, especially regarding Sidney Crosby's future with the team.
Even though his two-year contract extension will kick in this summer, many people believe he could ask for a trade due to the Penguins' change in their short-term plans.
The Athletic's Josh Yohe talked about the possibility of seeing Crosby play for another team and stated that he doesn't see that happening despite Sullivan's departure and the upcoming changes:
"I don't see that happening. Is Crosby happy about the decision? I won't speak for him, but it's a legitimate topic I'll be writing about soon.

It's not ideal for Crosby, who is close with Sullivan on a personal level, to say nothing of his admiration of Sullivan as a coach. Crosby, of course, is famously set in his ways and very comfortable with Sullivan as his coach.

The Penguins captain is also very smart and a total professional. I'm sure he understands what Kyle Dubas is dealing with. Crosby also understands perfectly well that, despite his own greatness, the Penguins haven't reached the playoffs in three years. He knows change is inevitable when that is the case."

Yohe went on to say that Dubas should include Crosby in the coach-searching process, saying the two of them should have plenty of time to talk, as they are both representing Team Canada for the World Championship in Sweden and Denmark:
"My advice for Dubas is to include Crosby in the coach search. No, Crosby shouldn't have the final say. But his opinion matters. Crosby and Dubas will both be representing Team Canada in Sweden for most of May. They'll have lots of time to get together in Stockholm and talk about the Penguins' future. It's Dubas' call, in the end. But Crosby isn't just another captain and isn't just another great player. He deserves to have some influence or, at the very least, to be in the loop."
