Penguins head coach Dan Muse has revealed, following team practice today, that Tristan Jarry will play the entire game vs. Detroit, and will not have split duties.

The Pittsburgh Penguins (2-1-1) are finishing up the first half of their preseason schedule when they go to Detroit to face the Red Wings in a game at Little Caesars Arena on Monday evening. Faceoff is scheduled for around 7 p.m.
Earlier today, the Penguins shaved five more players from camp, but still are roster-heavy at 43 skaters. Again, this lineup is a collection of grinders and prospects fighting for roster spots.
Filip Hallander, who has been a consistent show all camp, is playing again, and projected NHLers Tommy Novak and Ville Koivunen also are in the lineup.
The job competition remains fierce. Robby Fabbri, in camp on PTO, has done his best with the opportunities he has had up to now.
Rafael Harvey-Pinard is doing well, too, and Philip Tomasino is enjoying one of his best weeks' worth of hockey, when he ripped home the game-winner against Columbus on the power play.

Filip Larsson Will Simply Serve as the Backup Tonight and Isn't Expected to See Any Ice Time

In between the pipes, head coach Dan Muse revealed that Tristan Jarry will play the entire tilt. Filip Larsson is the backup.
Up until now, head coach Dan Muse had split games between his goalies, even on Saturday when Sergei Murasov received the first two periods before Marc-Andre Fleury, playing in a ceremonial PTO for his last game, finished off the third.
With roster battles in high gear and only a few remaining preseason games, Monday's game is yet another pivotal proving ground for bubble players. The Penguins' moves in the next few days will seal the roster, so each outing is important.
