The Pittsburgh Penguins have made another round of cuts at training camp today, sending five players down to the AHL's Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

The Pittsburgh Penguins reduced their training camp roster to 43 active players earlier today, which was announced earlier by President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Kyle Dubas.
The team assigned five players to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton's training camp of the American Hockey League (AHL), which also begins today at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex.

There is Already Just One Week Left of Training Camp

The team enters the final full week of training camp and preseason games, so decisions will start to get serious at this point.
The NHL preseason is always a whirlwind, and the Penguins just started official practices 11 days ago, but here we are, already at the last full week of training camp. This is where we will see some big changes happening.
The Penguins have a very busy schedule ahead over the next few days, as more and more cuts will be on the horizon as we inch closer to the start of the regular season.
