Earlier today, Getzoff took to X and gave a thorough update on his situation while thanking the medical staff both from the Honda Center and the local hospital who looked after him during such a difficult moment.
While it remains unknown exactly what caused Getzoff's medical problems it seems to not be a concern going forward for the Penguins' announcer.
Hopefully, with this good news, Getzoff can recuperate and be back calling game for the Penguins in the near future.
At the moment, it remains to be seen when Getzoff will return to the booth for the Penguins and who could potentially fill in during his potential absence going forward.
Regardless, this is great news for Getzoff who seems to be excited to return to calling games soon and we wish him the best in his recovery and are excited for his impending return.
