This evening, a new post on social media has highlighted multiple Pittsburgh Penguins players for giving back to the community ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday.
The Pittsburgh Penguins will head to Buffalo tomorrow evening to face off against the Sabres before enjoying a day off with their families for American Thanksgiving.
Before heading out to Buffalo for the game against the Sabres the Penguins came together to give back to the community and provide a Thanksgiving experience for the Pittsburgh community.

This afternoon, Penguins players
Sergei Murashov,
Blake Lizotte, and Tommy Novak went out to the Rainbow Kitchen serving Thanksgiving Day meals.
Murashov spoke about his experience enjoying the Thanksgiving holiday for the first time since making his Penguins debut and the pride he feels being able to bring joy to the community he now represents.
This is the 8th season that the Penguins have been partnered with the Rainbow Kitchen giving back to families and individuals in need during the holiday season.
The Rainbow Kitchen established in 1984, serves the Pittsburgh community providing vital resources to individuals from at risk communities and in need.
This gesture by the Penguins and especially a young star player like Murashov shows the culture that has been and continues to be built in Pittsburgh under the leadership of
Sidney Crosby and GM Kyle Dubas.
In addition to this event, several other Penguins players joined Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Pirates players giving away turkeys, pies, and other Thanksgiving Day essentials during a food drive in downtown Pittsburgh.
Now, the Penguins will get back to business and focus on taking down the Buffalo Sabres after a pair of tough losses.
