Tonight, reports have confirmed that Pittsburgh Penguins prospect Quinn Beauchesne will be suspended after his dangerous slash against the London Knights in the OHL.

Over the weekend, Penguins prospect Quinn Beauchesne was ejected for a slash to the head area of an opponent during a game against the London Knights in the OHL.
Immediately following the game, Beauchesne was placed on leave by the OHL pending a further investigation and potential suspension.
Now, Beauchesne has officially been suspended for two games and fans in the OHL are furious.

Penguins prospect suspended for two games causing fan outrage

In a statement put out by the OHL, the league confirmed that Beauchesne will be suspended for just two games after this slash.
Guelph's Quinn Beauchesne has been suspended for two games as a result of actions (Match, Slashing) on Mar. 13th at London.
In the aftermath of this announcement, fans have called out the OHL for an improper ruling believing that Beauchesne deserved harsher punishment.
So a guy who exceeds the pathetic «fight threshold» will get as many games as Beauchesne got for this? Brutal job by the OHL here.
Even further, is the shocking revelation that when Beauchesne returns to the Guelph lineup he will play the London Knights once again setting up for things to get physical in retaliation towards Beauchesne.
While this is good news for the Penguins as Beauchesne will not miss that many games of development time the return against London could open him up to potential injury if the Knights go after him.
