Harrison Brunicke Makes NHL History With His First NHL Goal
In the second period of the Penguins contest against the New York Islanders Brunicke scored the first goal of his career with a great shot.
On top of being his first career goal, Brunicke becomes the first player from South Africa to record a goal in the NHL.
As the game of hockey continues to evolve the emergence of players from non traditional hockey markets like Brunicke will be a key driving force as the NHL and hockey overall expands.

At 19 years old, Brunicke is one of the brightest parts of the Penguins future and serves as a beacon of hope for a franchise expected to suffer many setbacks throughout the year.
As the season continues, all eyes will be on Brunicke and fellow rookie Ben Kindel to see how far they can help push this Penguins group full of NHL legends.
