Recently the Pittsburgh Penguins made multiple roster moves including calling up Tristan Broz and he has now given an inside look at how he found out about the call-up.

The Pittsburgh Penguins made several surprising moves today sending Philip Tomasino down to the AHL while also Harrison Brunicke and Jack St. Ivany to the AHL for conditioning stints.
In Brunicke's case he was sent down as a way to extend his time in professional hockey before he is likely sent back to the WHL.
St. Ivany has yet to play this season due to injury and will be looking to make his mark in the AHL earning a call-up back to Pittsburgh.
These moves did create a roster spot that needed to be filled giving a prime opportunity to reward Tristan Broz who is on fire in the AHL.
After Broz's first skate with the Penguins he spoke to the media and told a fun story about how he was told he got called up to the NHL.

During the interview, Broz was asked about the moment he knew he was heading to the NHL.
When asked what the call-up meant to him Broz admitted he fell to his knees on the team bus after getting the call from Assistant General Manager Jason Spezza.
It's a dream come true. I mean, just been through so much to get here. Like, what a journey it's been. When Spezz told me, I dropped to my knees,» Broz said after Pittsburgh practiced on Monday. «I was like, this is... man, it's been a lot of emotion and a lot of hard work and really, a lifelong commitment to getting better and loving the game to get here. So yeah, it was really an emotional moment. Really special.

Broz then went on to thank and give a shoutout to his family for their support in chasing his dreams.
Just seeing their reaction, it was really cool. My mom was crying and my dad was just grinning ear to ear. They were so happy, and they've put so much into this, emotionally, financially, just time commitment driving me to rinks. So, it's just as much their moment as it is mine. And yeah, they're super happy. It was really cool.

Broz will have his first opportunity to suit up for the Penguins against the Buffalo Sabres on Wednesday.
