According to a rule put in place by Gary Bettman and the NHL players coming into the league after the 2019-20 season are required to wear a helmet during warmups.
It is mandatory for all players who entered the NHL beginning with the 2019-2020 season or later to wear their helmet during pre-game warm-up. To be clear, all players who entered the League prior to the 2019-2020 season and who are currently playing are exempt from this mandate.
In the past, players such as Connor Bedard of the Chicago Blackhawks faced fines for similar actions.
Over the next 24 hours it will be interesting to see if the NHL delivers a fine for Broz or if he gets away without punishment.
