The Pittsburgh Penguins have announced that they have signed forward Bill Zonnon, who they took in the first round of the 2025 NHL Entry Draft, to a three year entry level contract after a breakout year in juniors.

The Pittsburgh Penguins took forward Bill Zonnonn with the 22nd overall pick in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft, and they've liked what they've seen from him this year in juniors with the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada "A" in the QMJHL.
Now they are ensuring that he's getting his proper start with the franchise by being signed to a three year entry level contract.
This year with Blainville-Boisbriand Armada, Zonnon has 46 points (14G, 32A) in just 35 games. His scoring has been so strong that he's only gone pointless in nine games.
But he's missed several games this year because of an injury, but made an immediate impact after returning several weeks ago with a hat trick.

Bill Zonnon Was Taken By The Penguins In The 2025 NHL Entry Draft

Zonnon was thrilled to be taken by the Penguins, who he grew up watching in his youth.
It was incredible getting drafted by the Penguins. They're a team I grew up watching, especially guys like Sidney Crosby and (Evgeni) Malkin, and just watching them do their thing. - Bill Zonnon

In his scouting report via Elie Prospects, he's described as being useful in all three zones as well as highlighting his passing abilities.
Constantly supporting teammates in all three zones, Zonnon jumps to the aid of defencemen on the back wall, gets the puck back, offers timely passing options, and moves the puck quickly in transition, orchestrating clever passing plays and entries in the offensive zone. When no play is open, he falls back on his forechecking ability. Defenders retrieving the puck better hurry their play when facing Zonnon. If they take too long to pass, the forward comes barreling down on them, pinning them to the wall, freeing the puck with his stick, and moving to an open teammate. - Elite Prospects

It looks like Zonnon has a bright future in a Penguins sweater.
