Penguins goaltender Tristan Jarry is back up with the team after a stint in the AHL, and he's working to silence his doubters.

The Pittsburgh Penguins waived goaltender Tristan Jarry earlier in the year after he started 8-8-4 with a subpar 3.31 GAA and a .886 SV%.
There was a particularly brutal stretch from late December to mid-January in which Jarry went 0-3-2; he was then placed on waivers.
With no takers, he was sent to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, where he went 6-5-1 with a 2.67 GAA and a .908 SV%. Eventually, he was re-called by the Penguins in early March and has remained with the club since.
He's gone 4-0 since then and explained it was always his goal to get back to the NHL and help the Penguins challenge for the playoffs.
I think just going down there, my goal was always to get back here. Even when I was younger, going up and down, just with recalls and callups, it was something that you always work for. You want to be here. You want to play for the Pittsburgh Penguins.

When I was down there in [Wilkes-Barre/Scranton], my mind never changed. I always wanted to be a Penguin. I still do.

Jarry, who the Penguins took with the 44th overall pick in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, admitted that this year has been filled with highs and lows and that hitting the waiver wire was a career first.
Obviously I've had some highs and some lows this year. I think it's been something that I've had to learn how to manage. It's obviously been something different. I've never really gone through waivers in my career, so being able to kind of handle that, it took some time. It was something that I had to adjust to.

And then, going down to Wilkes, I had to be that same person. I had to work hard. I had to be the same good person I am up here down there. I think that really helped. It helped my game, to be honest.

Right now, the hard work that Jarry put in while in the minors has paid off. He's now back up with the Penguins and can help them inch closer to a playoff spot in his next start against the Islanders.
Jarry owns a career record of 148-93-29 with a 2.74 GAA and a .910 SV% with 19 shutouts.
