The Pittsburgh Penguins made several solid deals ahead of the deadline, and now they've boasted about the bright future with their incredible haul of picks over the next few years.
While not every deal that Kyle Dubas and the organization made netted them a first-round draft pick, the team did very well to get solid value back for some of their players as they continue to look forward to the future.
On Saturday, the organization showed off just how bright that future could be on social media, as they made a post about the future draft picks that the Penguins had, notably revealing that they have the most picks in the NHL in the next three years.
In the first three rounds of the 2025, 2026 and 2027 NHL Draft, the Penguins have accumulated a combined 18 draft picks (six in each year), and with the team desperate to add young talent, this is exactly the way to go about things.
Now, they'll still need to draft and develop those players in order to build a winner around
Sidney Crosby, but as of right now, it's hard to argue that Kyle Dubas has picked a lane for the future of the team and he's clearly sticking to it.
Things could get even better for Pittsburgh in the summer too, with
Erik Karlsson and
Rickard Rakell potentially on the move as well, and if Pittsburgh can nail their selections, this is a team that could be very good for a long time to come.
