This was definitely unexpected, and as of now, there is no reason why this occurred, but we will be sure to report more information once it is revealed.

What the Penguins did vs. the Flyers last night

Pittsburgh earned a 6-3 victory on Thursday night, powered by a dominant performance on the power play.
Sidney Crosby scored one of the Penguins' three power-play goals and added an assist, reaching 50 points for the sixth straight season and becoming the eighth player in NHL history with at least 19 50-point campaigns. Crosby now has points in 29 of his last 34 games against Philadelphia.
Justin Brazeau and Bryan Rust also scored with the man advantage as the Penguins continued a strong stretch on special teams, recording nine power-play goals over their last 12 games.
Egor Chinakhov, Blake Lizotte, and Connor Dewar rounded out the scoring. Evgeni Malkin finished with two assists for the Penguins, who snapped a three-game losing streak and have won eight of their last 12 games under head coach Dan Muse. Stuart Skinner made 30 saves to earn his fourth win in five starts.
For the Flyers, Rodrigo Abols, Nick Seeler, and Matvei Michkov scored in the loss. Samuel Ersson allowed three goals on 14 shots before being replaced by Aleksei Kolosov. Philadelphia, coached by John Tortorella, has now lost five straight games.
The Penguins have points in 12 of their last 14 meetings with the Flyers and remain at home Saturday against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
