NHL analyst PK Subban laid into Kyle Dubas with recent comments, highlighting how the Penguins general manager has let Sidney Crosby down.
The Pittsburgh Penguins have been very disappointing over the past two seasons.
The team feels like they are stuck between a rock and a hard place, failing to embrace a rebuild while not doing enough to get back into the playoffs.
As a result, the final years of Sidney Crosby's career appear to be wasted.
The Penguins captain is signed for two more seasons after this one at an 8.7 million dollar cap hit, but it doesn't seem like the team will be competitive in that time.
Currently they are dead last in the Metro Division, a clear sign that they will not be making the playoffs this year.
As a result of this, many fans have started to point fingers, asking where things went wrong in Pittsburgh.
One former NHLer turned Analyst has shared his thoughts on the matter, pointing the finger at general manager Kyle Dubas.
That former player is none other than PK Subban, who has stated that Crosby deserves a better team around him.
The only piece of good news for Penguins fans right now is that Crosby is still in the lineup.
He even scored a goal for the team, tying the game at 2 during the second period.
Sadly, that result would not hold up for very long as the Capitals rattled off a series of goals during the second half of the game, eventually earning am 8-3 victory.
It seems almost certain that Crosby will finish his career as a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins, so Kyle Dubas has just two more seasons to get him one more chance at another Stanley Cup.
