Sidney Crosby Directly Addresses Trade Rumours Amid Media Firestorm

The Pittsburgh Penguins have failed to make the Stanley Cup Playoffs for three straight seasons, and with all of their top stars ageing, a rebuild is seemingly the best course of action for Kyle Dubas and the front office.

That's led to plenty of speculation over the future, especially with captain Sidney Crsoby, as many analysts and former players have linked him to teams like Colorado and Montreal in potential trades moving forward.

However, when asked ahead of Penguins training camp, Crosby made it crystal clear that as of right now, he has no intention of asking for a trade, as he remains loyal to the only NHL team he's ever known.

That's a definitive answer from the long-time Penguins captain, but given the continued speculation over his future, it's likely that some personalities in the NHL media will continue to run with the story of Crosby wanting out soon.

Sure, that could change if the team struggle to start the 2025/26 campaign as many expect them to do, and with Crosby only having so many more opportunities after turning 38 this summer, there's a chance that this may happen.
