The Penguins have Stuart Skinner and Arturs Silovs listed as the only two goalies on the latest game notes, which likely means Stu is ready to go for today's game.

The Penguins continue at home to host the San Jose Sharks on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at PPG Paints Arena, which concludes a five-game home stand.
In recent history, it seems as though Pittsburgh has gotten the best of San Jose, taking seven of the last nine meetings, with an average goal-scoring pace of 4.44 per game.
The Penguins are 5-2-1 within the last eight meetings at home against San Jose, going back to October of 2016, while they have earned a point in seven of the last nine meetings.
In terms of season-long statistics, the Penguins are close to the top of the NHL on special teams, third best on the power play with a rate of 31.2% and fourth best on the penalty kill with a success rate of 84.7%.

What leads us to believe Stuart Skinner will be available today

Goaltending news from around the game is that Stuart Skinner is most likely going to make his Penguins debut, or at least be present on the bench.
The latest game notes indicate that only Skinner and Arturs Silovs are available, which is a pretty obvious indication that Skinner is going to be there against San Jose.

Why Stuart Skinner should get the start today vs. the Sharks if he's available

Skinner has a pretty impressive record against San Jose, having played seven games, going 6-1-0, a 1.15 GAA, a .948 SV%, and three shutouts.
Skinner, who has been playing for the Oilers, arrived in Pittsburgh on Friday as part of a trade that saw Tristan Jarry and Sam Poulin go to Edmonton.
The Penguins acquired defenseman Brett Kulak, along with a second-round draft choice in 2029, from Edmonton.
Skinner, who is 27, is 11-8-4 with a 2.83 goals against average and two shutouts this season, while Kulak, 31, has 611 games of experience in the NHL.
This additional second-round choice in the 2029 draft gives the Penguins a total of eight picks in that draft.
