Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand remains steadfast in his perspective on the contentious trip that resulted in Leafs defenseman Timothy Liljegren landing on long-term injured reserve with a high ankle sprain back on November 2.

Despite Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe expressing dissatisfaction with his players' response to the incident, Marchand asserts that there was no need for a reaction, as he views the play as clean. This perspective stands in contrast to the widespread disagreement from others involved.

Now, exactly 31 days since the incident, there's a positive update for the Leafs – Liljegren is back on the ice, participating in team practices.

In the 10 games he played before the injury, Liljegren contributed a single assist.
