The Maple Leafs reveal their next roster move
With his impressive performance in the minors, it's becoming increasingly evident that Nick Robertson deserves a shot with the Leafs.
Nick Robertson was initially assigned to the minors to kick off the season, despite a strong showing at training camp. He's faced the challenge of being sent down repeatedly due to his contract terms that allow it without waivers.
Despite these setbacks, Robertson has maintained his focus and determination, delivering a strong start to the year with 7 points in 7 games for the Marlies in the AHL.
Trade rumors have swirled around Robertson since his reassignment to the Marlies. However, if those trade talks don't materialize, it's highly likely that Robertson will be the first in line for a call-up if any of the Leafs' forwards suffer injuries during the grueling NHL season.
Injuries are a common occurrence in the long NHL campaign, making Robertson's promotion increasingly probable.
