Cedric Pare of the Toronto Maple Leafs hit Patrik Laine hard on Saturday night and now, the Montreal Canadiens forward is injured.
It remains to be seen
what his official diagnosis is. However, there is no doubt that fans are absolutely livid with Pare. Last night, after the game, Pare came out and said that he had no intention of hurting Laine and that it was simply a bad accident. It was a solid response that confirmed what we kind of already knew.
Having said that, Pare is now catching heat from Montreal Canadiens fans online and it is all because of his reaction to his post-game interview. As you can clearly see in the clip below, Pare is speaking to a reporter about what went down in Montreal. At one point, he is asked about the boos throughout the arena. It is here where he cracks a smile and talks about the experience being interesting and kind of cool.
Fans were absolutely livid with this. Everyone knows that Habs fans are passionate, and they made that passion known. In the tweets below, you can see that many proclaimed Pare as a bum of sorts. Others said that he will be back in the AHL in no time. Others called for some sort of Karma event. Needless to say, the Habs fanbase will be hating Pare for a very long time.
