Bruins rookie drops the gloves with Blackhawks veteran and immediately regrets his decision
Hockey is BACK, ladies and gentlemen, and after what seemed like the longest summer in history, we are finally back into the swing of things with the 2023-24 NHL regular season officially underway.
One Bruins rookie was a little extra hyped up for this one, as John Beecher decided to drop the gloves and go toe-to-toe with Chicago Blackhawks forward Jason Dickinson. Unfortunately, it didn't go as Beecher had planned, with Dickinson teaching him a lesson he may never forget.
Unfortunately for Dickinson, his night came to an early end after the fight as he was handed two-minutes for instigating, a five-minute major for the tilt and a ten-minute misconduct. Beecher received only 5 minutes for fighting.
While the Hawks veteran may have won the battle, the Bruins won the war, skating away with a 3-1 win in enemy territory.
