Former NHL enforcer provides background on one of the NHL's best line brawls
Being an NHL enforcer has always been an underappreciated job. Enforcers would do the things that other players were afraid to do. During the late 2000's Cam Janssen became one of the NHL's top enforcers for the New Jersey Devils.
Recently, Jansen appeared on the Athlete and Artist Podcast and spoke about his time with the Devils. Janssen also provided some insight on the famous NJ Devils versus New York brawl came together.
Our guest @CamJanssen25 gave his POV of the infamous Madison Square Garden opening line brawl. He squared off with Brandon Prust who talked about the wild event just a few episodes ago!
Janssen takes the time to explain how he was approached by his coach in the locker room before the opening faceoff. DeBoer informed his 4th line they were getting the start and one thing led to another during warm ups before a full line brawl.
