KHL Goalie Takes Matters Into His Own Hands After On-Ice Collision
This past weekend, former Winnipeg Jets draft pick Mikhail Berdin grabbed the spotlight when he sought payback against a player who plowed into him in his own net.
Berdin, currently with the Kontinental Hockey League's Sochi HC, was seething after Kunlun Red Stars' Devin Brosseau collided with him following a scoring opportunity in front of the net.
After the collision, both players found themselves to the side of the net, and Berdin seized the chance to confront Brosseau away from the action. Brosseau either wasn't ready or had no interest in engaging with Berdin, quickly assuming a defensive position when it became clear the fired-up goalie was up for a scrap.
Despite Brosseau offering little resistance, Berdin managed to land two more shots on him after he assumed the defensive position on the ice.
It seemed like Berdin might have wanted to dish out more, but he held back once the officials stepped in.
