With the preseason beginning, hockey has made its official comeback with a full slate of games each night, and more NHL players get back into playing real games.
Last night, the New Jersey Devils played against the Montreal Canadiens, and the Habs' first overall pick Juraj Slafkovskı left the game early with an injury. Take a look below.
It's unknown where exactly Slafkovsky was hurt, but he took a couple of hard hits the shift before he exited the game.
Not sure which of these hits had Slafkovsky out of sorts, but he grabbed a garbage can on the way off and looked like he was about to vomit.
Regardless of the severity of the injury, it's a poor start to the year for Slafkovksy, already looking to rebound from a disappointing rookie year. Hopefully for the player, team, and fans, Slafkovsky's injury is minor and he can continue to develop and play at the NHL level.
