The worst may have been realized for Pittsburgh Penguins forward Kevin Hayes, who appears to have suffered an injury during the Penguins' preseason training camp.
Hayes, who serves as a veteran presence in the Penguins' locker room, was surely looking forward to having a strong start to the final year of his current contract.

This is incredibly unfortunate news for Hayes, who's dealt with a number of hardships over the past few years, including the losses of his brother Jimmy, and one of his best friends, Johnny Gaudreau.
