Back in 2008, the Buffalo Sabres took Tyler Ennis from Edmonton, Alberta with the 26th overall pick in the draft.

At 5 ft 9, Ennis was undersized to say the least but he never really stopped it from taking a toll on his career. Just like Martin St-Louis, he persevered and played his game on his terms. It allowed him to play 13 seasons in the NHL as he played for teams like the Buffalo Sabres, Minnesota Wild, Toronto Maple Leafs, Ottawa Senators, and Edmonton Oilers.
A couple of years ago, Ennis left the NHL and found himself playing in Europe. Last year he played in Germany with the Mannheim Eagles. Now, however, he is calling it a career. As you can see below, Ennis took to Instagram today with his big announcement.

In 700 career NHL games, Ennis finished with 144 goals and 202 assists. This combined for 346 total points. He only finished with 12-career playoff points, but he only played a total of 24 playoff games. You could always count on him to get a point every second game.
Fans loved Ennis for his playing style as well as his vibrant personality. There is no doubt that the game of hockey will miss him.
