Alex Ovechkin Levels Erik Karlsson With a Big, Open-Ice Hit
On Friday night the Washington Capitals were opening their regular season against their division rival Pittsburgh Penguins. This would be defenceman Erik Karlsson's introduction to the also two decades long Crosby Ovechkin battle.
Washington captain Alex Ovechkin made his presence known in the physical department, drilling Pittsburgh newcomer Erik Karlsson with a hard, open-ice hit.
