Alex Ovechkin goes bar down scoring ridiculous between the legs goal
Alexander Ovechkin spent the summer at home in Russia and on Wednesday alongside many current and former NHLers he took part in a farewell game to honour long-time KHL forward Danis Zaripov.
While the game was for fun and overall uneventful, during the shootout, Alexander Ovechkin decide to steal the show. Ovi scored one of the best goals you'll ever see him score.
Ovechkin skates in slowly carrying the puck and as he passes the hash marks he drops the puck back between his legs. He then fires the puck bar down into the net.

Ovi definitely looks like he's in top form heading into the 2023-24 season. Ovechkin sits 72 goals back of tying Wayne Gretzky to become the NHL's all-time leading goal scorer. With 3 years left on his contract, there's very little doubt that Ovi will be able to reach this goal.
