It wasn't long before the touted generational talent Connor Bedard found himself on an official NHL scoresheet. In his first regular season game against his childhood hero in Sidney Crosby, Bedard collected his first point as an assist in a comeback win.
With the Hawks trailing 2-0, Bedard showed his impact on the game and initiated a play leading to a goal. Bedard made a slick board pass to Alex Vlasic, whose shot was hammered home on a rebound by Ryan Donato.
This marks the first point of many for Bedard in his NHL career.
This marks the first point of many in what will hopefully become an illustrious career for Connor Bedard. Even in this game, his spark leading to this goal was the first step towards a comeback win, as the Hawks eventually won 4-2 over the Penguins.
