Ducks call up AHL mascot to the big leagues
NHL preseason is a way for an organization to take stock of where everyone fits on the depth chart. The Anaheim Ducks decided last night was a good opportunity to see what they had in their mascots.
The Ducks' mascot is Wild Wing, last night he was joined by the San Diego Gulls' (AHL affiliate) mascot Gulliver the Gull.
Unfortunately for the minor leaguer the moment might have been too big.
As the Ducks looked to make their way onto the ice, Gulliver and the Ducks' mascot, Wild Wing, waved their team flags as the players approached the ice. As Gulliver took a step forward the mascot unfortunately lost his footing and went tumbling to the ice.
Gulliver, the San Diego Gulls mascot was having a tough time tonight
In the video you can see a couple of the Ducks players snicker as they pass by the fallen mascot. Gulliver looked to recover quickly from the fall but the embarrassment could take awhile to shake off.
