On Friday, new Maple Leaf Ryan Reaves expressed his excitement about actually having music during Leafs practice, which is something that he wasn't accustomed to from his time in St. Louis, Pittsburgh, Vegas, New York and Minnesota. He did, however, have one note for the DJ - play more hip hop. Well, it looks like the DJ heard his request, because they had some hip hop bumping at practice on Saturday.
While Reaves loves having music at practice, there's one aspect of camp he has not enjoyed so far; the scrimmage game on day 2 of camp. Reaves explained following practice on Friday that he didn't like the scrimmage because of what his game entails. He's not a skilled guy. He's a guy who earns his paycheck by drilling the opposition into the boards, laying huge open ice hits and dropping the gloves.
While he may not have enjoyed the scrimmage portion of camp so far, Reaves will be unleashed tomorrow against the Ottawa Senators, with puck drop scheduled to take place shortly after 2:00 pm ET in Ottawa. He'll have plenty of guys in black and red jerseys to hit if he ends up on the roster for the Leafs' first pre-season game.
