In a recent poll on social media, NHL fans were asked about the worst GM's in the league, and now, the answers are here, and some of them are quite shocking.
The NHL off-season is finally here, and with free agency and the draft both less than a week away, things are about to get chaotic as teams look to improve ahead of the 2025/26 season.
In the summer, there's expected to be teams that improve in a big way, while others are looking to sell and actively get worse, but at the end of the day, it's all on General Managers to get the job done.
So who around the league should we trust? And who should we not trust? That was a question posed on social media by 'Western Hockey Scout' in a poll, asking fans to name the worst GM's across the National Hockey League, and in the end, this is the result for the 15 worst.
1) Pat Verbeek
2) Barry Trotz
3) Kevyn Adams
4) Stan Bowman
6) Ken Holland
7) Steve Yzerman
8) Jason Botterill
9) Don Sweeney
10) Kyle Davidson
11) Chris Drury
12) Brad Treliving
13) Patrick Alvin
14) Chris MacFarland
15) Kyle Dubas
The fans in the comments were definitely divided on this list, although Pat Verbeek at No. 1 and Barry Trotz at No. 2 were results that seemingly didn't get much pushback, but unsurprisingly, many were questioning their own GM's place on the list.
Ultimately, opinions on GM's definitely vary, as it's tough to consistently get lucky in the role in the league, and while there are just a few elite people in the role around the league, there are many with question marks around them, with these 15 seemingly standing out to fans as the worst of the worst.
