There's been plenty of backlash for NHL 26 and EA Sports after the Tkachuk's were announced as cover athletes, but it's safe to say that their sister is thrilled.
The annual release of EA Sports' NHL video game has come with plenty of hype once again, and earlier this week, Florida Panthers star Matthew Tkachuk was announced as the cover athlete.
This was met with some criticism, but that increased immensely when the Deluxe Edition was announced, with Matthew sharing the cover with his brother Brady and his father, St. Louis Blues icon Keith Tkachuk.
Not only did some people believe Johnny Gaudreau should have been a part of the cover somehow, but others had issue with Brady being on the cover, given that he's achieved very little in his NHL career thus far (although this has been a common complain with Trevor Zegras and Jack/Luke Hughes being on recent covers).
The Tkachuk Family thrilled with the Honour of an NHL Cover
However, the Tkachuk's were over the moon with the opportunity, with Matthew expressing his gratitude for being able to grace the cover with his brother and his father after such a historic two-year run down in Florida.
It wasn't just Matthew however, as their sister Taryn has reacted on social media, and she's clearly just as thrilled with seeing her family get such an iconic opportunity.
Boom!
Ultimately, no matter how much people complain, the Tkachuk's are some of the biggest names in the NHL, and the league needs to put some big stars on display, so this is the perfect opportunity for them, with many believing the cover was well deserved.
